Come and spend some quality, fun time with family or friends at Kumeu Flower Farm picking your own flowers. If you are thinking “YES” then 'U-PICK FLOWERS' is your perfect solution. BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL SO PLEASE REGISTER AND BOOK BELOW.

Picking your own flowers is a great option for individuals who want to hand pick their blooms to practice flower arranging at home, or when you need larger volumes of flowers for weddings or other big events. 

Picking is in the mornings or evenings, since flowers picked in the heat of the day will wilt quickly and don't last as long.

You’ll be given a guided tour of the outdoor gardens and shown the areas you are able to pick from, you’ll learn about what’s in bloom and then you'll be left to fill your bucket to a maximum of 40-60 stems of flowers and/or foliage for the seasonal bucket or chose 30 or 50 stem buckets for the rose only buckets. Don't forget to bring your own secateurs to pick your flowers and your own bucket to take the flowers away in.

Please arrive on time to your session otherwise you will miss out on your orientation and have to chose another time.

SOME FLOWERS are not available for the U-Pick and are sold separately "By-the-Stem", ranging from $5 - $10 per stem. This changes due to the season and we will let you know which Flowers these are.

No refunds given for cancellations or no-shows, but we can transfer your date to another date in some circumstances.

2. 'U-PICK' DAY IS HERE! 

"PACK-A-SNACK"  You are welcome to sit and relax in the lower garden so bring a snack or two and when you have finished picking you can sit down and relax with a snack! Or you can also bring a blanket and picnic basket with you. 

U-Pick Day is here - Its exciting! Once the "U-Pick" Day is here drive, bus, bike or walk down to see us (along with your picnic basket!). We have moved to my home in Herald island, The quintessential island in Auckland :-) where we have landscaped our entire back yard for a picking garden. No small feat especially since it was an overgrown jungle :-) Our road is a narrow small road so please park on The Terrace, outside Christmas Beach or along Ferry Parade near twin Wharf Road and walk to us.

4. WHEN U ARRIVE AT THE NEW FLOWER FARMETTE.

There will be a sign outside so you know you are in the right place. There are no public toilets available at this time but you can use a public toilet at Christmas beach or at the end of our road where the wharf is. Someone will be at the entrance to greet you and show you where to go and how to get started. The 'U-Pick' Flower Garden is a tiered garden with different levels so please be vigilant with small children.
